Celebrated actor Kittie Whiskers indulges in a solitary night of tuna water and introspection, looking back at a not-so-savoury interview for a film some would say ‘you couldn’t make these days’...

Special Features is a mixed media animated short and associated Installation piece that made its debut at GradEx 111. It ran from May 6 - 10 and generated tons of engagement and feedback.

Both the DVD and installation are based on a unidentified politically incorrect y2k comedy that doesn’t actually exist. It pays homage to films like Charlie's Angels (2000), Blades of Glory (2003), and many other classics of both the genre and era.

35 DVD copies were produced and sold over the course of the exhibition alongside original prints from the non-existent film (several cat-ified stills from popular media).
The installation housed a specially programmed disc that could be operated with the single working button on the TV. Visitors would select play, only to arrive at an error screen that prompted them to eject the disc. They would then see that, as a gag, the disc is ‘scratched’ preventing the non-existent film from being played. When starting the experience over again, the visitor is automatically taken to the ‘special features’ menu, where they can watch the stop motion interview with Kittie Whiskers.
